A Veteran of Hip Hop Production
Have you heard?
Not many independent Hip Hop producers can lay claim to recording music with both platinum-selling acts and Grammy nominated artists.
Enter Frost Gamble, a self-proclaimed ‘sample head’ Canadian music producer. Frost is well-established in his hometown of Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada – but with each new release the American-born transplant is poised to expand his soulful, boom bap tracks beyond the frigid borders of the Great White North.
Born & raised in upstate New York, Frost Gamble was completely absorbed by the Hip Hop music & culture of the ‘golden era’ – and it was during that time that Frost learned the basics of crate digging and production that would fuel his sample heavy sound.
Frost’s production credits include work with rap heavyweights like Kool G. Rap, KXNG Crooked, Ras Kass, Young Bleed, Guilty Simpson, Planet Asia, Skyzoo and many more.
And, his 2013 contributions to Grammy nominated Gospel Rap artist Fresh I.E.’s Red Letterz13 were recognized as “Album of the Year” at Canada’s Gospel Music Awards.
In 2016, Frost landed a marketing and distribution deal with industry veteran Tony Bucher – leading to the commercially successful and critically acclaimed “Veteran EP”, released with New York state rapper Tone Chop.
Frost has since released projects with Tragedy Khadafi, Horseshoe Gang and others – breaking into the iTunes US Top 100 Hip Hop album sales chart twice in 2018 (Tone Chop & Frost Gamble – One #57, Horseshoe Gang & Frost Gamble – Pass the Ammunition #34).
